It was 2015 when we moved into our fantastic new space. The ease of access we now enjoy and privacy for our clients is priceless and the location, office space, meeting room and parking are a HUGE bonus; all this and rent free. We estimate the value of this gift at approximately $30,000 per year.

For over 10 years, our local newspaper has included our ads, articles, meeting notices and covered our stories. We estimate the value of this gift at over $10,000 per year.

Safeway

Since 2006, Safeway has been our major location for food donations by local residents. In 2024, 13,643 lbs of food was donated at Safeway, and their ongoing donations of gift cards help us provide healthier choices to our clients.

Since 2014 9,152 lbs in 2024

No Frills

Since 2014, No Frills Sean & Alexandra's has supported us with a drop-off bin for residents, product for special events, storage for excess perishables, Loblaws campaigns, and hosting our Spring Food Drive. Just a great neighbour. In 2024, 9,152 lbs of food was donated by No Frills.

Since 2017 7,500+ lbs / year

COBS Bread

Since opening in 2017, our local COBS Bread has generously donated their unsold bread, buns and other goodies. These delicious items are often used for our school breakfast programs. Annually, we receive over 7,500 lbs of fresh baked goods.

Since 2018 Whole Christmas hamper for 70+ families

Pratt's Food Service

Each year, Pratt's is a huge supporter of the Christmas Hamper Program by supplying the turkeys for the holiday meal. Since 2018, they have been supplying the entire hamper, which makes the Christmas season a little happier for over 70 local families.

Since 2019 Smile Cookie Campaign annually

Tim Hortons

In 2019, Andrew Marriott and our local Tim Hortons pledged to provide the funds from their annual Smile Cookie Campaign to the Food Bank. This generous funding allowed us to purchase a much-needed vehicle for pickups and deliveries. They continue to support us each year.

Since 2022 5,000+ lbs / $40,000+ savings (2025)

Poplar Bluff Organics

Poplar Bluff Organics has been providing us with fresh potatoes, carrots, beets and other seasonal vegetables since 2022. Over 5,000 pounds of fresh produce has been distributed through our Hamper and Bread & Extras programs. In 2025, Food Banks Canada estimates produce at $8.05 per pound — a savings for us of over $40,000.

Since 2020 10,000+ lbs frozen meat / $80,000+ savings

Save-On Foods

In 2024, Save-On Foods provided us with over 10,000 pounds of frozen meat for our Hamper program along with other frozen items we share with our Bread & Extras program. Frozen pizza, ice cream, pasta dishes and other 'treats' are a joy to give out. According to Food Banks Canada, a savings of over $80,000.

Alberta Government

Since 2016, Alberta Arts, Culture and Status of Women have been subsidizing our staffing — a savings for us of $240,000 over the past 9 years.

Food Banks Alberta

Food Banks Alberta is the provincial association of food banks in Alberta with a mission to strengthen the impact of the provincial food bank network. They supply much-needed food on a monthly basis.

Since 2010 Funds the After The Bell program

Food Banks Canada

Food Banks Canada provides national leadership to relieve hunger today and prevent hunger tomorrow. Funding is provided for various programs and services including our After The Bell program.
